Dorothy Mmushi: Head of Forensics Investigations
a.k.a The Sherlock Holmes of Tshwane. The DJ.
Vibrant and extroverted, Dorothy is a supportive wife and loving mother of three.
At just 35, she has carved out an impressive career and is making strides in a male-dominated industry as Head of Forensic Investigations in one of Gauteng’s biggest metropolitans.
She is a self-confident, professional career woman. Her reigning career started at a young age when she realised she was inquisitive by nature:
"Growing up, I watched a lot of investigative programs such as CSI and Special Assignment" adds the bold Dorothy.
In her first year of tertiary, at Tshwane University of Technology, she studied Criminal Justice, but then changed to doing a course in Policing. After completing her studies, she landed her first job in law enforcement, special investigation unit. Years later, she qualified as Certified Fraud Examiner and is now Head of Forensic Investigations at the City of Tshwane.
Ms. Mmusi aspires to becoming our Public Protector. She is passionate about minimising the impact of white-collar crime and works twice as hard to fight and uproot corruption on a daily basis.
A strong, natural motivator, Dorothy also loves to indulge her feminine side by shopping and focusing on all things beauty and style.
